Auwas (our) Visitor Information Centre

The Norfolk Island Visitors Information Centre aims to provide a best practice visitor information service by warmly welcoming all visitors to the Island and providing informative, impartial advice and answers to any queries visitors’ may ask regarding Norfolk Island.

The Centre books tours, activities, restaurants and accommodation on Norfolk Island and Visitor enquiries are received by walk-ins, by email, by telephone and via social media or online at our website www.norfolkisland.com.au.

The knowledgeable Information Centre staff are skilled at responding to and anticipating visitors’ information needs, providing a high level of outstanding service. The VIC always strives for continuous improvement of the visitor experience and welcomes customer, operator and community input and feedback.

The Norfolk Island Visitors Information Centre provides the following services:-

  • Bookeasy online booking system providing for touring, activities and accommodation bookings;
  • Brochures and operator booking information;
  • Unbiased recommendations and assistance with visitor itineraries;
  • Displays and promotions within the VIC and the surrounding building;
  • Lost and Found register;
  • Restaurant and Special event bookings;
  • Retail sale merchandise, items, books, phone & internet credit, stamps and local souvenirs;
  • Collating of visitor feedback cards and complaint handling;
  • Meet and Greet information service for all RPT flights at the Norfolk Island Airport;
  • Inclusions in e-Newsletters to our visitor database;
  • Inclusions in specific promotions to our PR and Trade Publicists in Australia and New Zealand;
  • Promotions to our Social Media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest.

How to work with the Visitor Information Centre:

  • All tour and accommodation operators are eligible to host their own listing and booking link on the NI Tourism website. A request for a Bookeasy username and password can be made to the Operations Manager at the Visitors Information Centre. This will provide operators access to a self-managed portal allowing them to confirm, track and change all bookings received from the website or the Information Centre office.
  • The VIC aims to provide all visitors to the island with accurate, up to date information and the promotion of all tours and events, Operators are encouraged to contact us and provide current information and any changes to any tours, events, menus or itineraries, allowing for efficiency and the excellent service to our visitors.
  • Operators holding a special event or tour may contact the Visitors Information Centre to allow for a special promotion of the same within all appropriate promotional platforms used by Norfolk Island Tourism.
  • Training is available upon request to the Operations Manager in navigating the Bookeasy System which also provides a channel manager for bookings.
  • A general information service is available to all operators by contacting the VIC with any questions or concerns about on island activities.
